Watch Servicing
At The Menders I pride myself in carrying out the vast majority of repairs in my workshop. This includes everything from replacing a glass to full complex services.

I specialise in retro or antique timepieces, or pieces over 20 years old.
These can be very sentimental and require a personal touch. And you can be rest assured that when you hand me your treasured item, it will not leave the workshop until you collect it! You can view my blog to get an idea of much of the work i carry out.

I can carry out work on:

Automatic watches
Mechanical watches
Antique pocket watches, including Fusee and Verge types
Small clocks (car clocks for example)
Chronograph or other complications.

A service includes:

Stripping the watch of its case and dial
Disassembling parts
Pre cleaning of the movement
Professional cleaning of all parts
Reassembling parts
Testing and testing

Parts will be replaced if available, and an estimate will be provided before any work is carried out. There are some parts I can remanufacture (new pivots for example. or replacing bearings) and these will be included on the estimate in addition to the service.

It is well worth reaching out to see if there is something I can do to get that watch ticking again.
