Unusually this watch has a bracelet more known for the Bond Watch. Maybe someone swapped it in the store at the time of purchase (like I used to).
Anyway, here it is for a battery and reseal. My equipment allows for a 100 meter water resistance. The manufacturers water resistance is available on request.
Also the bracelet had a wobbly pin. These can be easily adjusted using the original parts due to the design of the bracelet and it's fittings.
Anyway, a nice example of a mid sized black Omega Seamaster.
During Pierce Brosnan's tenure as James Bond, from 1995 to 2002, the iconic 007 wore the Omega Seamaster Professional 300M, marking the beginning of Bond's association with Omega and the watch's transformation into a stylish, high-tech gadget.
Here's a more detailed look:
GoldenEye (1995):
Costume designer Lindy Hemming chose the Omega Seamaster Professional 300M (Ref. 2541.80) for Brosnan's first Bond film, "GoldenEye," recognizing its sleek design and functionality as fitting for Bond's naval background and sophisticated persona.
Brosnan's Bond and Omega:
Brosnan wore the Seamaster Professional 300M in all four of his Bond films, with slight variations in each model to suit the plot's needs.
"Tomorrow Never Dies" (1997):
The Seamaster featured a built-in detonator, allowing Bond to remotely detonate a grenade.
"The World Is Not Enough" (1999):
The watch included a grappling hook, which Bond used to escape a sticky situation.
"Die Another Day" (2002):
The watch featured a built-in laser in the bezel and a remote detonator, further solidifying its role as a high-tech gadget.
The watch's popularity:
The Seamaster Professional 300M became an integral part of Brosnan's Bond, blending style with high-tech gadgetry, and the Omega Seamaster became a symbol of elegance, functionality, and innovation, perfectly matching Bond's image.
